편모슬하의 외동딸로 쓸쓸히 지내던 평범한 고교생 강보라는 3학년이 되면서 상위권 대학 진학을 결심하고 공부에 몰두한다. 4월 어느날 학교에서 늘 외톨이였던 보라에게 같은 반 학생인 이랑이 다가온다. 부잣집 딸이며 그녀와는 너무나 배경이 다른 랑과 대화를 하면서 보라는 그동안 생각지도 못했던 여러 감정을 느끼게 된다. 그 후 보라는 랑과 친구가 되어 랑의 응원을 받으며 열심히 공부한 결과 반에서 1등으로 봄학기를 마친다. 자신감으로 충전된 보라와 랑이 각자의 목표를 향하여 알차게 여름방학을 보내던 중, 랑의 점심 초대를 받고 보라는 랑의 할머니 효선을 보게 되는데… 효선으로 인하여 보라의 인생에 큰 변화가 일어난다.
Bora Kang, living with her single mother has been always a loner in the school. Upon becoming a high school senior, Bora begins to study hard in the hope of going to college. One afternoon of April she happens to talk with Lang Lee. Since Bora has rarely talked with a girl of her age, she experiences many thoughts and emotions for the first time from Lang Lee who lives in a wealthy and lovely family. Lang cares for Bora and cheers her up. Bora has finally come top of her class at the end of spring semester. Elated with her success, Bora gets close to Lang enough to be invited to lunch. While having lunch at Lang's home, Bora meets Lang's grandmother, HyoSun Lee. After that, big changes are happening in Bora's life.
